Panic

Julia & Horacia
Julia & Horacia

Just coming home from the vet. Hori’s back left leg (the front left is gone) is swollen and I was worried. Seems I have grounds to worry. The limph node is swollen and there is no apparent reason for it so I have to accept that maybe it is cancer spreading.
Had a breakdown in the car once Horacia was safely strapped in… I just coud not stop the tears from coming. I am so so scared that this might just be it. I really need some months/years to adjust to the idea of her leaving me.

I have just one hope left, and that is the crotoxin treatment we are starting tomorrow instead of monday or tuesday.

Hi, I\'m a 5 year old great dane, very ladylike and now thanks to you all a tripawd rather than euthanised. The bone cancer diagnosis (8/8/09) was shocking and indeed we had to get a second opinion to get to the alternative of amputation (12/8/09). Again thank you!nI was born and bred in Germany and now live in Argentina, so sorry if my English isn\'t very good.nI hope to share and get lots of information and experiences here in Tripawds.com

  1. Hori and Julie

The pictures are beautiful! I can see why your mom is very proud of both her girls. I also understand why she is very worried. I hope the swollen lymph does not mean what she thinks and that you – Hori – will stick around to keep visiting with me and the other tripawds.

    Tazzie (okay, Tazzie the 2nd)

  2. These pictures are beautiful indeed. And please know that you are not alone with the panic attacks. Just remember to breathe and ask yourself… What would Hori do? I believe she simply would make the most of every moment.

  3. Both your girls are beautiful! Romeo and I just wanted to send our love and good thoughts. I have a six year old daughter and she proudly calls Romeo “my brother.” It’s a beautiful relationship isn’t it? Romeo has taught my daughter so much.
Horacia looks like a great big sister! Hang in there and
    take good care, Eve
